Venture Capital may be a distant or even an alien concept to a lot of people. Nonetheless, the industry is a crucial channel for startup founders to get fundings for sustaining operations and growth. SenseTime, Klook, Lalamove, to name but a few, are startups that were backed by venture capitals at their early stages. How does the industry function? How come it has been relatively oblivious to the public?
Rookie Fund Hong Kong second event “Crash Course on Venture Capital” aims at unmasking the VC industry to the audience in details. Technicalities in deal-processing will be disclosed and VC scenes in APAC, particularly Hong Kong, will be introduced as well. Presentation on startup metrics is another highlight in addition to preliminary know-hows. Tech startup investors will also share their personal experiences on how and why they have chosen this industry, a day in the life of them, followed by some tips and insights on how to land a job in VC firms. We welcome everyone who is interested in getting to know more the Venture Capital industry, especially those who would love to explore more opportunities in the finance industry.
